Poetry & Thoughts
**
Being on the outside and looking in is not as bad as it
seems.  Why join big fish in a small bowl when you can
be a minnow in the sea with endless possibilities?
**
When we forgive but do not forget, is it because when
we are asked to forgive anew what we forgave,
we can refuse?
**
Faith is like the warmth of the sun on a cold winter’s
day, which warms you up from the inside out and
leaves you knowing beyond any doubt,
God’s love is all about.
**
Walk when you can run.  Crawl when you can walk.
Stop when you can go.  Make time daily to intimately
know the world surrounding you.
Never forfeit one chance to consume the profusion of
miracles you have access to in varied resonance and
abundance.
**
Where we were when we move on or where we want
to go are both always just over the hill.
**
If wishes always came true, we would wish to undo
the wishes we wished to wish anew.

Your reality may seem enclosed in walls of despair.
Yet, if you dare to believe and to dream, the walls may
still be there but, in need of much repair.
**
When burdens seem to multiply becoming so heavy
your heart starts to cry, stop, sit, and reflect.
Do not let your heart or your soul grieve with that
burden anymore.  Take first the things you give
thanks for-daily blessings received, joys of sweet
memories, all which make your soul and heart smile.
Appreciate each quietly for a while.
Reach out and gently add your burdens one by one.
Let your joys and blessings tenderly soften their
edges, removing the wedges of pain, healing and
making you whole again.
As it is lived, life always remains unfinished.
God patiently reminds us quietly not
to diminish His gift, to keep it as a whole
not broken into separate pieces of
joys, blessings, burdens, and sorrows.
**
Pity the creatures busy rearranging their features
only to discover that each is copying the other.
**
Good time friends are like an elevator which stops
on all floors.  In the event of repairs they disappear
when it’s time to take the stairs.
**
Do not confuse me with facts I do not comprehend,
which are going to change again no doubt, before I
understand what you are talking about.
**
The cat broke the fiddle and could not play.
The cow tripped over the moon turning night into day.
The little dog was not a good sport.
He schemed with the dish to elope with the fork.
The spoon aggrieved served all with a tort.

An overcast winter’s day of dreary gray
is only one stage for nature’s ballet.
The remaining tree leaves wait
for a gust of wind to orchestrate
their solitary rustles into an animated symphony.
Across their stage of gray the clouds pirouette,
ballerinas of many silhouettes.
The rain applauds with droplets of wet
to renew the seasonal recitals
of nature’s ballet for us to view.

You do not have to turn your cheek and accept
disrespect.  You do not have to neglect a retort.
You do not have to even the score.
You do have to make the most of your reactions, so be
more positive and circumspect.
Leave them wondering what you are going to do next.
**
Never say I cannot because you will not try.
Always say I can for then you will learn to achieve
your goals and dreams.  Never concede for your
triumph lies in each little step where progress is seen.
The courage to fail, to learn, and change to thrive is
what defines success in life.
**
Yesterday was today.  Today is today.  Tomorrow only
hopes to be today.
